CLASSES ON MONGOLIAN HISTORY, CULTURE AND TRADITIONS HELD FOR AMERICAN STUDENTS.
In the framework of “Embassy Adoption Program” run by “Washington Performance Arts” NGO, the Embassy of Mongolia in the USA organized 4 sessions course on Mongolia for the students of “School Without Walls at Francis-Stevens” Middle School in Washington D.C. The course was held between 10th February and 10th May 2017, involving approximately 60 sixth graders. The significance of the course was to provide knowledge and information about Mongolian history, language, culture and traditions. During the course, Mr.Khatanbold, a director of “Anura Music” school, performed with horse fiddle instrument. Mongolian cuisine was also served at the Embassy. At the end of the course 30 students visited the Embassy of Mongolia to share what they have learned about Mongolia during the academic year of 2017-2018. They also played a game to show the different facts about Mongolia. Ambassador Otgonbayar Yondon praised students for their knowledge about Mongolia and wished a success in their future studies. The students will represent Mongolia at the Model UN in June.
