Mongolia–United States relations

The strategic partnership between the two countries since diplomatic relations were established in 1987.

Mongolia and the United States established diplomatic relations on 27 January 1987. Since then the relationship has grown steadily across political, economic, defence, educational and cultural fields.

The United States is a central partner in Mongolia's "third neighbour" policy.
